The QS Higher Ed Pre-Summit: Asia Pacific 2023 brings together key stakeholders in the field of higher education from across the Asia Pacific region to discuss the overall theme ‘Exploring new outlooks for China’s Higher Education: The role of Liberal Arts Universities in the digital era’. 

Lingnan University, one of the leading institutions in Hong Kong, will be hosting the QS Higher Ed Pre-Summit: Asia Pacific 2023, and is committed to facilitating knowledge exchange and collaborative discussions on various higher education topics.
 
The Pre-Summit was created as an extension event of the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific, to ensure that the most pressing topics for the region could be debated in more detail.

This Pre-Summit will set the stage for a productive and insightful conference, and will be organised on 3 November 2023 at Lingnan University, Hong Kong SAR, China.

QS Higher Ed Pre-Summit: Asia Pacific 2023 examines how liberal arts universities in China's higher education system are discovering new outlooks on education amid technological developments. Discussions will explore how liberal arts can foster critical thinking, creativity, and interdisciplinary collaboration, which are essential in a rapidly changing global society. Additionally, there will be conversations which address challenges and opportunities faced by liberal arts universities in integrating digital technologies into their curriculum and pedagogy.
 

Pre-Summit Program Highlights

Participants attending the QS Higher Ed Pre-Summit: Asia Pacific 2023 can expect a diverse and engaging program that includes keynote sessions, plenary discussions and expert panel.

In the Presidents Forum, titled "The art of STEM: Enhancing scientific thinking through liberal arts education", leaders from higher education institutions will discuss integrating liberal arts into STEM education, emphasizing the need for students to develop a broader skillset. The QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific is now at its 19^th edition and has established itself as the most important gathering for Higher Education leaders in the Asia Pacific region.

 Happening after the QS Pre-Summit in Hong Kong the week before, the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2023 will be hosted by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) on 7-9 November 2023 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) in Malaysia.

The Summit will gather over 1500 university leaders, senior administrators, and decision-makers across the globe to discuss the overall theme ‘Creating the right outcomes: Universities and the future of work in the Asia Pacific’.
